Sustainability

Round Fit builds commercial fitness equipment and interiors to last for many years of daily use. How we choose materials, use them in the workshop and design each piece follows from that.

1% of every order goes to tree planting

We donate 1% of the value of every order to tree-planting projects. It is part of every order, whatever its size, and does not change the price you are quoted.

Timber from planned, traceable sourcing

We buy solid hardwood and plywood from established suppliers whose timber comes from planned forestry. Every batch arrives with its documents, and we record it from the supplier to our workshop, so the origin of the wood in your equipment can be traced.

Our standards are the same for every order — from a single bench to the fit-out of a whole chain.

Solid wood and plywood, not chipboard

Frames and structural parts are made of solid hardwood and plywood. We do not use chipboard or MDF: they wear out faster under commercial use and are hard to repair.

Offcuts are reused or recycled

We plan cutting to use each board as fully as we can. Usable offcuts become small parts, accessories and jigs in the workshop; what is left goes to recycling.

Made to be repaired, not replaced

  • Upholstery, springs, straps and wear parts can be replaced without changing the whole piece
  • Lacquered surfaces can be refinished after years of use
  • Spare parts are available for the equipment we make

A piece that can be serviced and refreshed stays in use longer — which is better for your studio budget and for the forest.
